In March 2020, when Covid-19 hit India, there was a race against time to improve health infrastructure, and ensure enough supply of ventilators in the country’s hospitals. That was when seasoned entrepreneur Srikant Sastri and IIT Kanpur scientist Amitabha Bandyopadhy came together to develop a world-class ventilator in India in just 90 days. The two later wrote a book, The Ventilator Project, on their work. Sastri and Bandyopadhy discuss their book, how they developed the ventilator, and much more in a conversation with ThePrint Editor-in-Chief Shekhar Gupta in this edition of Off the Cuff.
